Questions

Billing, the 60-day period and recovery fees

No money recovered, no recovery-based payment.

We never automatically charge you, and never start a recovery-based subscription, unless we recover money for you. The performance fee applies only to recovery verified against a real payment inside the 60-day period you activated yourself.

Will I be charged if no money is recovered?
No. If your 60-day performance period ends with no qualifying recovery, no recovery-based subscription is created or activated, no performance fee is raised, and no recovery-based billing obligation is created. The result is recorded on your Fees screen with the reason and the date it was checked. Your account simply stays in its existing non-subscription state.
What happens when money is recovered?
Recovery that is verified against a real payment and dated inside your activated period counts as qualifying recovery. Your workspace then continues through the normal paid flow, and the performance fee applies to that qualifying amount only, at the tiered rate: 10% on the first $10,000 in the period, 6% on the next $40,000, and 3% above $50,000. The same tiers apply on every plan, and there is no hard cap. If you already have a subscription, no second subscription is ever created.
What counts as qualifying recovery?
A payment against an outstanding balance, confirmed on our server with the payment provider, attributed to the recovery work, and dated inside your activated 60-day period. Qualifying recovery accumulates across the period, so the marginal rate falls as the total rises (10%, then 6%, then 3%). Unverified payments, refunds, reversals and chargebacks do not count, and reversals reduce the qualifying amount and re-rate the fee. Logins, emails, support tickets and general app activity never count as recovery.
When does the 60-day period start?
Only when your pre-flight checks pass and you confirm activation yourself. It never starts at signup, and the activation timestamp cannot be edited afterwards.
What if money is recovered after day 60?
It does not change the outcome already recorded for that period. Recovery is only counted for the period it falls inside.
Can I ever be charged for anything else?
Yes — this condition covers recovery-based charges. If you choose a paid software subscription yourself through checkout, that subscription is billed on its own terms until you cancel it. We are not promising that no charge of any kind can ever occur, and we do not guarantee that money will be recovered.
Is there a limit to how much I could be charged in a period?
No hard cap — but the rate decreases as recovery increases within a period (10% on the first $10,000, 6% on the next $40,000, 3% above $50,000), and you'll always see the maximum possible fee before you activate, based on your actual outstanding balance.
Could the same job charge me twice?
No. Each performance period has a single outcome record and each fee collection uses a stable idempotency key, so repeated scheduler runs or repeated provider events cannot create duplicate subscriptions, duplicate charges or duplicate billing transitions.
